Group Presentations

 

Your group presentations are based on your individual research papers. You will combine your research with others in the group and work together to create an interesting and entertaining program.

 

Presentations will be no less than twenty minutes long and no longer than thirty minutes.

 

Your group project will be produced on a playable DVD and will be played during class time. You can use almost any format with the exception of games shows, auctions, or news reports. Be creative.

Devise an entertaining way to present your information so that we don’t get bored with an endless drone of facts. We do not want a re-reading of your research paper. The idea is to be both informative and entertaining.

 

Make sure your DVD will play before presenting it in class. We will not take the time to copy it to a hard drive to play it. Your technology must be ‘in order’ when your presentation time arrives.

 

All members of a group must participate in the presentation.

 

Each member of the group will be personally responsible for a single aspect of the presentation.

 

Each individual will contribute to the presentation.

 

You will be given about five minutes or so to set up your presentation, please be efficient.

 

Guest speakers will always precede presentations.

 

Please keep your presentation within the bounds of good taste. Shock value is not appreciated

 

Please let your group leader know what every individual in the group did for the presentation.

 

There may be as many as four presentations a day.
