+ WELCOMEHello! My name is Jennifer Kim Van Nguyen and I currently reside in San Jose, California. I recently graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Design with an emphasis in visual communication. My specialty lies in production print, web work, message campaign, and brand identity. I enjoy experimenting with typography, form, pattern, texture, illustration, and incorporating various mediums into my work. Design is not only my profession, but it is also my passion. I am extremely detail-oriented and draw inspiration from the environment I am in. I enjoy the challenges of visually solving problems and communicating beyond words. I am also excited to explore and learn new things. What I lack in, I make up through hard work and dedication. My favorite quote and constant reminder in why I continue to do what I do is lyrics from Aesop Rock, "You can dream a little dream or you can live a little dream. I'd rather live it cause dreamers always chase but never get it." In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, reading various types of books, and cooking for my loved ones. My other hobbies include collecting art prints and urban vinyl toys (especially those by Shepherd Fairey, Frank Kozik, Huck Gee, and Buff Monster). I have an affinity for visiting gallery exhibitions and traveling to new destinations. I also love being involved in things I support and believe in.. such as design!
