Decisions was one of many in a series of photos taken in Davis, California. After watching a documentary on Richard Avedon, I was inspired by an interview where he discussed how personal photography was to him. He spoke about how he was drawn to taking photos of subjects he had trouble understanding such as death and women. I decided to challenge myself and take photos on the subject of death, a subject I fear and did not understand either. I The process was manual black and white photography.
